United Airlines is putting new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft into service on several existing routes. The aircraft are equipped with the airline’s new United Polaris business-class cabins and seats in addition to other amenities. The planes will make their appearance on three routes: San Francisco-Beijing, San Francisco-Frankfurt, and New York/Newark-Tokyo Narita starting September 6, October 5, and October 28, respectively. The first 777-300ER entered service in United’s fleet in February of this year, operating on the San Francisco-Hong Kong route where it replaced a Boeing 747 jumbo jet. The Polaris cabin features the airline’s new fully lie-flat business-class seats with direct-aisle access as well as Polaris amenities such as high-end pillows and blankets and a new Polaris menu. United expects to deploy 14 777-300ERS in 2017.
