SafeTravelRx, powered by risk management company iJet, has launched SaaS, an app aimed at the small-to medium-sized business market with what it calls “the latest in risk/security management and medical alert technology tools to the business travel industry.” The SaaS app was described by co-founder and CEO Ron DiLeo as having been designed to harness the power of the most powerful of risk management and security systems brought by iJet along with proprietary medical alert technology from SafeTravelRx. DiLeo said the technology not only dispatches emergency medical assistance but transmits medical information, emergency contact information and both geolocation and street address when activated. That capability is then added to iJet’s systems. SafeTravelRX will be operating pilot programs through select TMC’s and GDS immediately with formal launch expected by year end. It is available on both Apple and Android devices.
