United Will Offer First Nonstop From Denver to Rome

Carrier also announces seven other routes from Colorado city >>

United Airlines announced that it will offer the first nonstop flight from Denver International Airport to Rome, beginning May 1. The route was one of eight from the Colorado city  announced by the carrier.

Jonna McGrath, vice president of United’s Denver hub, said that the routes reflected the company’s “continued commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience in Denver that is underscored by these new routes and the nearly $1 billion in investments we have made to enhance the customer experience and bring greater convenience.”

As Denver’s hometown airline, she said, “we’re proud to offer more destinations than any other carrier, giving Colorado residents and travelers passing through Denver unmatched flexibility and options to explore the destinations they want to visit most.”

The new destinations: are Rome (daily, May 1 – Sept. 24), Buffalo (daily, year round, starting May 22), Pensacola, Fla. (daily, May 22-Aug. 18), North Bend, Ore. (daily, May 22-Oct. 25), Peoria, Ill. (daily, year-round, starting March 30), Redding, Calif. (daily, year round, starting May 22), Regina, Saskatchewan (daily, year round, starting May 15) and Wilmington, N.C. (Saturdays, May 24-Aug. 16).
