PredictX
,  an AI-driven travel and expense data intelligence specialist, has launched Meridian, a new travel policy analyzer and optimizer designed to help travel managers, travel leads and procurement teams understand where policy changes can deliver savings, and what those changes could mean for their travellers and programs.

Meridian, according to an announcement, turns a static travel policy document into a dynamic modelling tool that enables travel managers to test, optimize and benchmark policy against their own program data. Users can upload their existing policy and model different changes to understand their potential financial, environmental and business impact before making them.

This is particularly valuable, said the announcement, for travel managers who need to demonstrate a credible, quantified business case to the CFO or other senior stakeholders. Rather than simply identifying where policy is being breached or where savings may exist, Meridian enables them to model different scenarios and determine how those opportunities could be realized.

Meridian’s Policy Lab, said the announcement, enables travel managers to experiment with different combinations of policy changes. Users upload their policy and can then test different policy levers – from advance booking windows and booking methods to class-of-service thresholds and hotel compliance. Meridian assesses the potential price savings alongside the associated CO2 impact and a disruption score, providing a view of the potential financial and operational impact of the change.

Meridian, said the announcement, is powered by the same underlying data intelligence that drives PredictX’s wider travel program analytics. It also provides the data foundation for Cogent, PredictX’s AI-agentic workforce. Through Cogent’s natural-language interface, users can ask questions about their program and run simulations through Meridian. Cogent can use those simulations to identify potential policy changes and prompt users to consider opportunities based on their own program data.

“Travel policy is often where some of the biggest opportunities for program optimization sit, but changing it can be difficult to navigate,” said Keesup Choe, CEO, PredictX. “Meridian gives travel managers a way to test those changes before implementing them. They can see the potential savings, understand the wider impact and build a much stronger, data-backed case for change with their CFO and other stakeholders.”

Meridian is currently in alpha phase with a closed group of existing PredictX clients. It will form part of the standard PredictX proposition for new clients, and is designed to deliver value from the outset of a client relationship. PredictX will demonstrate Meridian at the Business Travel Show America in New York (Oct.14-15).
