North Platte, Neb. — The dual-branded Candlewood Suites North Platte (66 rooms) and Avid North Platte (57 rooms) has opened, marking the first dual branding for these brands. The hotels share a 24-hour market, free breakfast and laundry facilities and the outdoor Gazebo Grill. The Candlewood Suites offers studio and one-bedroom suites with full kitchens and spacious living areas.

Kolkata, India —Hyatt Centric Ballygunge Kolkata has opened with 93 rooms. It offers several restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool, a fitness center and extensive meeting space.
Chicago — The 289-suite Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile has opened in the heart of the Magnificent Mile. It features studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites — each with a full kitchen and a flat-screen TV. Amenities include a fitness center, 10 meeting rooms with a combined 8,150 square feet of meeting space and three dining options.
