Appointment at Areka

Areka, a business travel consultancy, has named Catalin Ciobanu as vice president of data and AI.  He will focus on “leveraging emerging technologies to help deliver solutions to clients,” according to an announcement. Ciobanu was formerly senior director of data and analytics for CWT Solutions Group, the consultancy owned by the TMC.  He has also served as CTO of Boost.rs, a human resources technology firm that he co-founded.
