Louisville — Hotel Bourre Bonne Louisville, Curio Collection by Hilton, has opened in the heart of downtown Louisville, steps from the Kentucky International Convention Center. Translated as “good bet,” the name, according to an announcement, is “a playful nod” to Louisville’s horse racing culture and the French origins of Kentucky bourbon. The 168-room property has two dining outlets, including a rooftop restaurant and bar; and over 7,000 square feet of meeting space.
Edinburgh —The Garner Hotel Edinburgh-Haymarket has opened, marking the IHG brand’s debut in Scotland. The 195-room hotel is situated in the West End of Edinburgh, directly opposite Haymarket Station. The hotel has partnered with local restaurant Platform 5 to provide guests with breakfast options and food and drink discounts. Amenities include parking, 24/7 snack access and grab-and-go breakfast.
São Paulo — Westin São Paulo has opened, the brand’s first in the city. Located in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood, home to many corporate headquarters, the 187-room property offers a fitness studio, an outdoor pool, two bars, a restaurant and extensive meeting space.
Cape Town, South Africa — Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof has opened, the first for the brand in the country. It is located in the heart of Longkloof, a revitalized historic district that features a newly opened shopping center, offices and a tech start-up hub. The 154-room property, which is 20 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from the convention center, has a restaurant from well-known South African chef Bertus Basson.
