Talma Travel Solutions, a TMC, announced the acquisition of Canada-based Plus Travel Group, marking the company’s expansion into the Canadian market and, according to the announcement, further strengthening its growing North American presence.

Bringing a strong reputation and established client relationships in Canada, said the announcement, Plus Travel Group adds local market expertise to Talma’s expanding global network, while gaining access to Talma’s broader international capabilities, technology, resources, access and portfolio of travel solutions.

Iya Magen, CEO of Talma, said,  “Our investment in Plus Travel Group marks another important milestone in our global growth strategy.” Over the past four years, she said, “we have made a series of strategic investments and acquisitions across travel services and technology, building a stronger global platform and positioning Talma to set a new standard for the customer experience.” Plus Travel Group, she said,  “shares our commitment to exceptional client service, proactive account management, and innovative technology.”

In addition to corporate travel, said the announcement, both organizations offer expertise across leisure travel, groups, meetings and events. The combination of Talma’s international scale and Plus Travel Group’s deep understanding of the Canadian market, said the announcement, creates opportunities to deliver an expanded range of services and capabilities to clients across North America and key markets worldwide.

Jeffrey Verman, CEO of Plus Travel Group, will continue to lead the company following the acquisition. He said, “From the beginning, our goal has been to deliver exceptional personal service, provide value that goes well beyond the booking itself and stay ahead of the curve by leveraging the best technology available in our industry.” The partnership with Talma, he said, “marks an exciting new chapter for our team and our clients. It strengthens our global reach, enhances our collective buying power, and expands the solutions and resources we can offer, while creating new opportunities for continued growth.”
