Frontier Airlines announced two new routes launching this summer, which include its return to Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport. The routes connect Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas with Oakland and Boise Airport in Idaho. The service to Oakland will be 11 times weekly and will begin Aug. 20. The Boise service will be four times weekly beginning Sept. 10.
Frontier, according to the carrier, has introduced sweeping changes to its product and customer service offerings. Among the changes is UpFront Plus seating, an upgraded seating option with extra leg and elbow room in the first two rows of the aircraft. Customers in UpFront Plus get a window or aisle seat with extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat. The airline also now offers unlimited companion travel for its most loyal customers, with the flexibility to choose a different companion on every Frontier flight. Frontier will begin offering First Class seating later this year.
Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines, said, “We are laser-focused on redefining what consumers can expect from low-fare travel — from our expansive network map to the premium upgrades we offer — and we look forward to providing consumers with affordable flight options on these new routes starting this summer.”
