Avianca to Launch New Service to and From US to Colombia

Routes will begin flying on June 1

Avianca is adding a second daily Bogotá–Fort Lauderdale flight and increasing Barranquilla–Miami service to daily operations, with both routes starting June 1, 2026. The expansion, according to an announcement, supports Avianca’s broader US network.

The airline has opened sales for the new frequencies, expanding options for customers, according to the announcement. The schedules are as follows:

  • Bogotá – Fort Lauderdale: An additional daily frequency will be added, for a total of two flights per day. The new flights leave Bogotá at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in Fort Lauderdale art 7:30 p.m. They leave Fort Lauderdale at 10:45 a.m. and arrive in Bogotá at 1:25 p.m.
  • Barranquilla – Miami: Service will increase from three weekly frequencies to daily service (one flight per day). Flights leave Barranquilla at 7:50 a.m. and arrive in Miami at 11:45 a.m. and depart Miami at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in Barranquilla at 3:15 p.m.

Avianca currently operates more than 400 weekly flights to and from the US, connecting 14 cities across Latin America with destinations including Boston, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas (seasonal), among others. Through its network, said the announcement, travelers can also connect easily to more than 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
