Appointments and promotions at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Encore Corporate Travel, Hilton and Remington Hospitality

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Emma Darby as global vice president spa and wellness. In this role, she will assume overall responsibility for spa and wellness operations across Fairmont’s global portfolio of 92 properties. Darby brings over two decades of hospitality experience, having held senior roles at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Group. She most recently served as COO at Resense Spas.

Encore Corporate Travel, a Montreal-based TMC, has named Marc-André Brunet as vice president of product, in charge of aligning the TMC’s proprietary Zii technology with Encore’s services and program management offerings into “a single, seamless experience for clients.” He had been with Egencia for nearly nine years as head of transportation and insurance products.

Hilton announced that Scott Ward has been named as general manager of Signia by Hilton Atlanta, a 976-room hotel that is part of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority campus. He was most recently complex general manager of Hilton Tampa Downtown and Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center, where he oversaw 882 rooms and 55,000 square feet of meeting space.

Remington Hospitality has hired Ben Perelmuter as CEO. He has nearly three decades of industry experience and joins Remington from TPG Hotels & Resorts, where he served as president and COO. He also spent over 15 years at Aimbridge Hospitality. Remington manages 135 hotels in 27 states and Washington DC across 33 brands, including 16 independent and boutique properties.
