Serko, a corporate travel platform, has named Katharine Farrell as head of marketing, managed travel. In this role, she will lead global marketing initiatives for the managed travel segment, with a focus on growing Serko’s North American brand presence and customer base. Farrell joins Serko from Delta Air Lines, where she led the sales and digital marketing communications team, responsible for Delta Business digital marketing strategies for corporate customers and travel agency partners. Prior to Delta, she served as president of Dots & Lines, Inc., an independent marketing and communications agency she founded that specialized in serving travel industry clients.

Marriott International has named three executives to customer-facing positions. They include:

Shannon Patterson as senior vice president, global sales. She joined the company in 1996 and previously served as senior vice president for global growth and delivery. Patterson replaces Tammy Routh, who has moved into a new role as commercial performance leader for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Andy Kauffman as chief commercial officer, US and Canada. He returns to the company from the National Football League, where he served as senior vice president of marketing strategy and science. Kauffman had spent 11 years at Marriott in various roles across the digital and marketing organizations. He succeeds Julius Robinson, who has become COO, US West, for Marriott.

Gail Frazer as senior vice president, sales and distribution for the US and Canada. She was formerly responsible for leading sales for the corporate segment with Marriott’s global sales organization. Frazer succeeds Brian Gilligan, who has become regional vice president, premium brands, Northeast.

Amadeus has named Carol Borg as CFO, effective May 5. She has 30 years of experience with several organizations. Most recently, Borg was with QinetiQ Group PLC, a multinational defense and security company based in the UK. Prior to that, she was CFO at Lightsource bp Renewal Energy in the UK.

Edwardian Hotels London announced that Declan Lott has joined the company as vice president of sales for North America. He previously worked with the company for more than 30 years and, according to the announcement, played a key role in solidifying the company’s position in the North American market. Lott will oversee business-to-business programs for the company, including its partnerships with major travel advisor networks. Edwardian Hotels London operates several high-end boutique hotels in the British capital.

Wings Global Travel, a London-based TMC, has named longtime Reed & Mackay executive Matthew Forbes as senior vice president of global growth. In the role, he is in charge of Wings’ global sales team and works with the TMC’s technology and product teams to oversee development of global service platforms. Forbes was with Reed & Mackay for more than 17 years, most recently as director of sales for the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions, and he also held senior positions overseeing global development at that company.
