Appointments and promotions at Alaska Air Group and Mandarin Oriental

Alaska Air Group has announced that Jason Berry will become COO, succeeding  Constance von Muehlen, who is retiring after having been with the airline since 2011. Berry is a 30-year industry veteran who currently serves as president of Horizon Air and executive vice president of cargo for Alaska Air Group. With Berry moving into his new role, Andy Schneider will become CEO and president of Horizon Air. She currently serves as senior vice president of people at Alaska Airlines. Schneider has been with the company for more than 35 years.

Mandarin Oriental has named Christian Gradnitzer as group director of food & beverage, Raphael Bick as chief information officer, Kande Camara as chief of staff to the CEO and group director of sustainability; and Emlyn Brown as group director of spa, leisure and wellness. Gradnitzer most recently was vice president of business development and operations of Rikas Hospitality Group. Bick was formerly partner and Asia leader of technology with McKinsey & Company. Camara had been global sustainability director for Kerzner International.  Most recently, Brown led the luxury division at Accor as senior vice president-wellbeing.
