Openings in Miami Beach; Seattle; Coralville, Iowa; and Lyon, France

Miami Beach – The Andaz Miami Beach has opened, marking the Hyatt brand’s Florida debut, after a top-to-bottom refit of what was the Confidante. The Andaz Miami Beach has 287 guestrooms (including 64 suites); two heated, outdoor pools with private cabanas; a members’ beach club; and three Jose Andres Group restaurants. Its soon-to-open Ondara Spa will be located on the fourth-floor terrace, where a relaxation lounge overlooks the Atlantic.

Seattle – Populus Seattle has opened with 120 rooms and suites; a restaurant, a rooftop bar. According to an announcement, it is the country’s second carbon positive hotel following the opening of the Populus Denver.

Coralville, Iowa – The 71-room Avid Hotel Coralville-Iowa City has opened near the University of Iowa.It is part of a dual-branded property alongside a Candlewood Suites. Lyon, France – Cour de Loges Lyon, a Radisson Collection Hotel has opened in the cities Vieux Lyon district. Located in a historic building, the 61-room hotel has two restaurants, a spa and five meeting rooms.
