Auckland, New Zealand — The InterContinental Auckland has opened, anchoring the $1 billion Commercial Bay lifestyle precinct. The 139-room property has a restaurant, bar and fitness center. An executive lounge will open in June and a rooftop bar later this year.
Cork City, Ireland — Premier Inn Cork has opened with 187 rooms; part of the Whitbread portfolio, it is the first Premier Inn to open outside Dublin. Amenities include a restaurant and free WiFi.
London —The 109-room Hampton by Hilton London Old Street has opened in the heart of East London. Amenities include free WiFi, a 24-hour fitness center and hot breakfast. Rooms feature work desks and 55-inch HDTVs.
