Hertz Global Holdings made “meaningful gains” with corporate and government customers, according to Sandeep Dube, chief commercial officer, speaking on a second quarter earnings call. Revenue in the second quarter increased by 10% year over year, the second straight quarter of double-digit percentage gains, driven in part by what executives said was rising corporate demand.
The company’s revenue per day (RPD) in the quarter increased 9% year over year, and RPD at US airport locations, a commonly used standard for business travel performance, increased 12% over the second quarter of 2025.
Revenue in the second quarter increased to $2.4 billion, although, according to CEO Gil West, the company was operating a fleet that was 1% smaller year over year. The 10% increase follows an 11% increase in the first quarter.
The company’s second-quarter net income was $64 million, compared with a net loss of $294 million one year prior.
In the Americas, second-quarter revenue increased 10% year over year to $1.9 billion, with RPD also up 10% to $62.11.
Internationally, second-quarter revenue increased 7% to about $478 million. RPD increased 3% to $61.49.
