Frontier Airlines was the most delayed US-based airline in 2025 through November, according to a report from Flighty, an app that provides flight information and statistics on personal travel history.

The report analyzed data from over 22 million flights completed between January and November. Only airlines with at least 150,000 users among Flighty’s base were included. For the sake of the study, a flight was considered “delayed” when it arrived 15 or more minutes after its scheduled landing time.

The five most delayed US airlines, along with the percentage of their flights that arrived late, according to the study, were: Frontier (28%), JetBlue (25%), Southwest Airlines (25%), American Airlines (24%) and Alaska Airlines (23%).

The industry standard for the percentage of flights delayed more than 15 minutes is 22%, according to the report. Globally, 41% of flights arrive at least one minute late, and the average delay is 23 minutes. In fact, passengers in 2025 lost 3.9 million hours between scheduled arrival times and actual arrival times, according to Flighty.

The most delayed airline globally was Ryanair, according to the report, with 29% of flights delayed.
