Frontier Airlines will begin nonstop service from Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) to 10 new destinations in May. The new routes are in addition to previously announced flights to Minneapolis and Pittsburgh. With the new routes, Frontier will serve a total of 39 destinations from PHL and operate an average of 44 daily departures this summer, an increase of 47% versus the year prior.

Service begins on May 16 to Knoxville, Portland (Maine), Milwaukee, Detroit and Pittsburgh; on May 21 to Minneapolis, Chicago O’Hare and Indianapolis; and on May 22 to Columbus, St. Louis, Kansas City (Mo.) and Pensacola.

Barry Biffle, CEO, said that from the Midwest to the East Coast and from Maine to Florida, these new routes span much of the country “and represent our continued commitment to growth from PHL.” In fact, he said, PHL will see the second largest increase in daily departures on Frontier this summer among the carrier’s major operational bases.

Frontier has recently been adding routes outside its traditionally leisure-based network. It has also relaunched its Frontier Miles loyalty program with promises to offer rewards quickly and provide benefits for each dollar spent on Frontier products.
