Condor, a Germany-based carrier, announced its first flights to the Gulf region with new daily nonstop flights to Abu Dhabi from its hub in Frankfurt beginning in May 2026, followed by daily operations from Berlin starting mid-June 2026. The flights will be operated in a new codeshare with Etihad Airways. This agreement, said the announcement, will also provide seamless connections at Etihad’s growing Abu Dhabi hub.

Jens Boyd, commercial director, Condor, said the codeshare agreement “is the great foundation on which we are building our new services to Abu Dhabi to better connect Germany’s capital Berlin and Europe’s financial hub Frankfurt to the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) and beyond.”

Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad Airways, said Germany is a vital market for Etihad, adding, “Berlin alongside new Frankfurt options meet clear passenger demand — including a direct capital-to-capital link that further strengthens UAE-Germany ties.”

The codeshare agreement is based on the joint marketing of the new Abu Dhabi services to and from Germany. Through the cooperation, said the announcement, Condor travelers gain access to Etihad Airways’ global network via the Abu Dhabi hub and benefit from seamless travel experiences with checked-through baggage. This provides attractive onward travel options, said the announcement, to Southeast Asia, Japan, China and Australia.
