Choice Hotels International will relaunch Park Inn by Radisson, a brand that was part of the acquisition of Radisson Hotels Americas in 2022. The announcement was made at the company’s annual convention in Las Vegas.

According to an announcement, Park Inn by Radisson is being “strategically repositioned into the premium value conversion space,” responding to an unmet need tailored to the growing demographic of younger, value-conscious travelers.

According to Cathy Hartman, vice president, brand strategy, Choice Hotels, Park Inn by Radisson will offer “brighter basics”: a welcome with pops of color and friendly service; crisp white bedding and 100% smoke-free hotels; fast WiFi and plenty of places to charge devices; and grab-and-go breakfast items.

Tom Nee, senior vice president, foundation development, said the first contract for the relaunched brand has been signed in San Antonio.

At the convention, CEO Patrick Pacious told the media the company is looking for further merger and acquisition possibilities, although it abandoned its attempt to acquire Wyndham Hotels & Resorts earlier this year. He said Choice does not have a product in the upscale extended stay segment, and that would be an opportunity. He noted that about half of Choice’s 22 brands have been the result of acquisitions.
