Brightline, the Florida rail service, announced that the company is introducing new fare options offering guests more flexibility and choice. The new Flex fares, according to the announcement, cater to guests traveling to or from Orlando who value complete flexibility, such as business travelers, international guests and those whose travel plans may change after booking.
Guests can now choose travel in Smart or Premium service coaches with a range of fare flexibility:
- Flex: the newest fare option to or from Orlando allows guests to cancel for a refund to their original form of payment or change their trip without a change fee;
- Select: with limited options for trip modifications; or
- Saver (only available in Smart): the most economical way to travel with Brightline to or from Orlando.
The range of fare benefits includes:
- Cancellations: Flex fares have the ability to be canceled at any time with no additional fee and a full refund to the original payment method. Select fares can be canceled and receive 75% credit to their Brightline Wallet. Saver fares are cancelable, but do not retain any credit.
- Modifications: Flex fares can be modified prior to day of departure for only the fare difference or on the day of departure to any other departure on the same date for free. Select fares can be modified for a change fee and applicable fare difference at any time. Saver fares cannot be modified.
- Luggage: Flex fares include one large bag, two carry on-sized bags and a personal item. Select fares include two carry on-sized bags and a personal item. Saver fares include one carry on-sized bag and a personal item.
- Airport Connections: Flex fares include a complimentary one-way airport transfer between Brightline MiamiCentral and Miami International Airport, or between Fort Lauderdale Station and Fort Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport via Brightline’s Airport Connector Shuttle.
“We understand that travel plans can change, sometimes unexpectedly,” said Julie Sharenow, vice president of sales for Brightline. That’s why, she said, “we’re committed to offering fare options that provide our guests with the flexibility they need to book with confidence.” By expanding choice and giving travelers greater control over their journeys, said Sharenow, “we’re making it easier for our guests to travel on their terms while continuing to deliver the exceptional experience they expect from us.”
Brightline connects travelers to destinations between Central and South Florida with stations in Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach and Orlando.
