RMA Worldwide Chauffeured Transportation announced the acquisition of Eyre Bus Service, a Maryland-based transportation company. Founded in 1947, according to the announcement, “Eyre has built a 79-year reputation for safe, reliable and professional transportation throughout Maryland and the greater Washington, D.C., region.”
Robert M. Alexander, CEO of RMA, said, “We have tremendous respect for what the Eyre family and their team have built over the past 79 years.” He continued: “We are honored to carry that legacy forward. The values that have earned Eyre the trust of generations of customers align closely with RMA’s values and the way we operate our business.”
The acquisition, said the announcement, strengthens RMA’s presence throughout Maryland and the mid-Atlantic while adding significant motorcoach, charter and shuttle capabilities. Eyre’s experience in corporate and employee shuttles, school and university transportation, group charters, tours, events and large-scale movements, said the announcement, complements RMA’s existing operations, according to the announcement.
Eyre clients, said the announcement, will gain access to RMA’s broader fleet, advanced technology, 24/7 operational support and extensive national and global transportation network, while continuing to benefit from the local knowledge and personal service for which Eyre is known.
The acquisition, said the announcement, further enhances RMA’s ability to provide a complete range of transportation solutions, from executive sedans and SUVs to Sprinters, minibuses, full-size motorcoaches, employee shuttles and complex group transportation programs.
RMA provides chauffeured and group transportation services to corporations, hotels, universities, government agencies, professional sports organizations, meetings and events, and private travelers.
