All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, announced a partnership with Travelport that will include NDC content across 40 global markets.
As part of the agreement, ANA will offer its full range of products and ancillaries through NDC to Travelport-connected travel agencies. Travelport will deliver ANA’s NDC content through its retailing platform, Travelport+, providing agencies, according to the announcement, with access to ANA’s most competitive fares and additional services.
Keiji Omae, executive vice president of customer experience at ANA, said the partnership is an important step in advancing ANA’s digital transformation strategy. The collaboration, he said, “gives travel agencies seamless access to the advanced booking tools they need to serve the evolving expectation of travelers.”
By rolling out NDC distribution across 40 markets with Travelport, said Omae, “we are equipping travel agencies with direct access to our products and services.”
Damien Hickey, global head of air partners at Travelport, said that by enabling ANA to distribute its NDC content through his company’s platform, “Travelport is supporting the airline’s transformation goals while providing travel agencies with streamlined access to ANA’s product offerings.”
