Turkish Airlines announced it will launch a new nonstop service to Denver from its Istanbul hub beginning June 11. At 6,130 miles, the new intercontinental route dethrones United Airlines’ service to Tokyo as the longest scheduled flight out of Denver International Airport, according to the announcement.

The service will be three times weekly at first, becoming four per week starting July 11, 2024 with the addition of a Sunday frequency.

The new service will be operated by an Airbus A350-900 fitted with 316 seats. It will link two major Star Alliance hubs, with both Turkish and United members of the network. United operates an extensive network out of the Colorado airport covering most Western and Midwestern states, providing extensive connecting options.

Denver will become Turkish Airlines’ 14th destination in the US, joining New York, Newark, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC Flights will depart Istanbul at 1:55 p.m. and arrive in Denver at 5:40 p.m. The return flights will depart Denver at 7:35 p.m. and arrive in Istanbul at 4:45 p.m. the following day (all times local).
