SAP Concur and Amex GBT Add New Innovations to Complete Alliance

SAP Concur and American Express GBT announced new innovations to their strategic alliance Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT, including:

  • Leakage reporting, giving travel managers greater visibility into bookings and spend, including offline bookings. 
  • Supplier offers and benefits, surfacing corporate perks and loyalty benefits directly in the booking experience. 
  • Travel disruption manager, bringing notifications, self-service trip changes, and live support together in one experience. 

SAP Concur also announced a new wave of AI-powered innovations that move business travel and expense management closer to becoming autonomous, helping organizations simplify travel planning, expense management, and administration.

Highlights from the news include:

  • Helping delegates manage travel for others more efficiently with an AI-assisted Delegates Dashboard that brings approval requests, travel bookings, and expense reports into a single workspace. 
  • Giving finance and admin teams new AI-powered tools to streamline approvals, simplify administration, and improve corporate card management with AI-assisted Approval Manager, Enhanced Admin Control Center, and AI-assisted Corporate Card Management. 
  • Helping meeting planners stay ahead of demand with new AI capabilities that identify pricing and availability risks around major events, plus a new Groupize integration for hotel room block proposals. 

The announcements are accompanied by new findings from the eighth annual SAP Concur Global Business Travel Survey, which explores how AI is reshaping business travel. The research found that 75% of business travelers are already using AI-powered tools to support their trips, but 85% of CFOs are concerned about employees using unapproved AI tools.
