Direct Travel has appointed Matthew Minielly as CFO. The TMC said that its long-time CFO John Coffman was moving to the newly created role of chief corporate development and business officer. Minielly was most recently CFO at Partnerize, a technology platform, and previously held roles at Allintus and Cunningham Lindsey. 

IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Neetu Mistry as managing director for the UK and Ireland. She will oversee more than 400 open and pipeline hotels and lead the continued growth and performance of the region, according to the announcement. Mistry has more than 20 years of leadership experience with management companies across Europe, according to the announcement.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has also named Michael Hoe Knudsen as managing director for Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. Most recently, Knudsen  oversaw 120 managed hotels and 45 hotel openings across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

Alaska Airlines has named three executives to new regional leadership roles, created in support of the carrier’s international growth. They include:

  • Cees Verkerk, who has been managing director of airport services, has been named managing director for the UK and Europe. He has been with Alaska for 10 years. 
  • Soojin Yu will serve as regional managing director for Asia, based in Seoul, and will oversee the performance of all routes in Asia. She has been with Hawaiian Airlines since 2016 as country director for South Korea. Yu previously served as marketing and communications manager for Air France-KLM.
  • Andrew Stanbury, regional director of South Pacific, will serve as regional managing director of South Pacific. He started with Hawaiian Airlines in 2019 and served as managing director of international and North American sales for that carrier. Stanbury also previously held sales positions at Fiji Airways and Air New Zealand.
