Appointments at Reed & Mackay and Amtrak
Amtrak has named Jennifer Mitchell as executive vice president of strategy and planning. She will succeed Dennis Newman, who is retiring. According to an announcement, Mitchell will be responsible for setting the long-term strategic vision for Amtrak and managing the planning, infrastructure access, state partner, network development and host railroad functions. She most recently served as deputy administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration. Prior to that, Mitchell was director of the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation.
Reed & Mackay, a corporate travel and event management company, announced the appointment of Kieran Hartwell as its global chief revenue officer. In his new role, according to the announcement, Hartwell will lead revenue-generating departments globally, aligning the company’s sales and marketing teams to deliver a competitive, premium offering to the market, aligned with a seamless customer experience.
Reporting directly to Reed & Mackay’s Group CEO, Fred Stratford, Hartwell’s appointment, according to the announcement, “marks a significant step in Reed & Mackay’s ongoing commitment to delivering excellence in corporate travel. He will spearhead the development of data-driven strategies to engage new market segments, optimize go-to-market models, and refine value propositions in partnership with customer and product teams.”
Hartwell has held numerous senior leadership positions, including C-suite roles across the travel industry.” Reed & Mackay continues to expand its global presence across North America, mainland Europe, APAC, and the Middle East.
