My Limousine Service (MLS), a provider of chauffeured transportation and motorcoach services throughout the New York metropolitan area and beyond, announced the acquisition of Matador Tours, a “well-established” motorcoach company based in Carlstadt, N.J.

The acquisition, according to the announcement, represents a significant expansion of MLS’s motorcoach operations and strengthens the company’s ability to serve corporate, group, meeting and event, tour, and large-scale transportation clients.

Highlights of the acquisition, according to the announcement, include:

  • Establishes a strategic MLS presence in the heart of the Meadowlands area of New Jersey.
  • Provides additional capacity for group, charter, meeting and event transportation.
  • Adds dedicated motorcoach maintenance and repair capabilities.
  • Provides a dedicated location for continued chauffeur development and safety programs.
  • Positions chauffeurs and vehicles closer to major airports, hotels, convention centers, sports venues and corporate destinations.
  • Improves fleet positioning, response times, maintenance support and overall service capabilities throughout northern New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area.

Mike Rose,  CEO of MLS, said, “This is an exciting next step in the continued growth of My Limousine Service and our motorcoach division.”  He continued: “Jamie and Mike Powderley built an exceptional business at Matador Tours, with an impressive portfolio of clients and longstanding relationships. We are especially pleased to have Jamie and the Matador team staying on board as we move forward together. “

MLS operates a diverse fleet of more than 130 vehicles, ranging from luxury sedans and SUVs to executive vans, Sprinters, minibuses and full-size motorcoaches.
