Portland, Maine — The dual-property Residence Inn by Marriott and Moxy Hotel Portland Thompson’s Point have opened as the first hotels in Portland’s Thompson’s Point district. The Residence Inn features 70 apartment-style suites with fully equipped kitchens, free breakfast and outdoor grilling areas. The 78-room Moxy offers a bar and a grab-and-go marketplace. Guests of both hotels have access to an indoor pool, fitness center and 24-hour market.
Frankfurt — Taj Hessischer Hof Frankfurt has opened as the first Taj in continental Europe. It restores the former Grandhotel Hessischer Hof, which closed at the end of 2020, and comprises 117 guestrooms and nine suites. The opening also marks the return of Jimmy’s Bar. Additional facilities include a lobby lounge and bar and J Wellness Circle, Taj’s Ayurvedic-inspired wellness concept with a gym, treatment suites, saunas and steam rooms.
Hangzhou, China — JEN by Shangri-La Hangzhou has opened. The 176-room property has a restaurant, a 24-hour fitness center, an indoor pool and more than 3,200 square feet of meeting space. There is also an outdoor lawn on the seventh floor for events.
Aurora, Ontario — The 125-suite Staybridge Suites Aurora East by IHG has opened next to the existing Holiday Inn Express & Suites Aurora. The extended-stay property offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites with fully-equipped kitchens, complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool and a lobby bar. The hotel also includes the Valentino Event Centre, a 3,190-square-foot venue for meetings and social events.
Pensacola, Fla. — The 119-room LivSmart Studios by Hilton Pensacola I-10 North Davis Highway has opened. Designed for guests staying 10 nights or longer, the property features apartment-style studios with fully equipped kitchens, complimentary breakfast, laundry facilities and electric vehicle charge stations.
Chattanooga, Tenn. — The dual-branded Home2 Suites by Hilton (82 suites) and Tru by Hilton Chattanooga West Lookout Mountain (68 rooms) have opened as part of a 10-acre mixed use development. The property features a resort-style outdoor aquatic area with a pool, lobby bar, fitness center and complimentary breakfast.
Longmont, Colo. — The 84-room Hotel Longmont has opened. Described as the city’s first boutique hotel, it features a restaurant and 3,700 square feet of meeting space.
