Frontier Airlines announced its first-ever service to South America. Launching in December, the new routes will connect Orlando International Airport to El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena and José María Córdova International Airport in Medellín.
Tyri Squyres, vice president of public and consumer affairs, Frontier, said, “We believe there is strong, unmet demand for low-cost travel between Orlando and Colombia, and we look forward to offering affordable flight options between these two magnificent destinations.”
Lance Lyttle, CEO of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, which manages Orlando International Airport, said, “Expanding airline options on these routes gives travelers more choice, strengthens our connectivity with Colombia and reflects the strong demand for affordable international travel between Central Florida and South America.”
The routes from Orlando to Colombia are as follows:
- Medellin (Dec. 10) – initially six times a week, increasing to daily March 6, 2027
- Bogota (Dec. 14) – daily
- Cartagena (Dec. 19) – weekly
