Emburse, a spend management and expense automation company, announced the launch of its new autonomous AI agent. Powered by the next generation of Emburse AI, said the announcement, the new agent continuously builds context for timely, accurate and compliant expense reporting.
Emburse, according to the announcement, provides a reimagined experience by handling the entire expense process autonomously, without user prompting, and provides reports ready for employees to review and submit. Should details be missing, employees are prompted by the AI agent to add the information either by typing or speaking in natural language, and the agent automatically applies the updates.
The new AI agent reduces the expense report creation time from the industry average of 30 minutes per report to under five minutes, according to the announcement. Emburse AI powers the agent to accurately extract, categorize, itemize and format expense data in a way that is fully compliant with company expense policies and context-aware across every expense.
The combination of the AI agent’s context-aware capabilities and Emburse AI delivers the automation users have always wanted, while providing complete visibility into what has been automated and the flexibility to review and adjust as needed, according to the announcement.
The new agentic expense experience will be available beginning in Fall 2026 as part of Emburse Enterprise. Customers can sign up for the Early Adopter program, with access rolling out in phases as the agentic experience becomes available.
