Delta Air Lines announced a series of innovations for corporate travel customers and agency partners at its Delta Business Showcase event. The announcements focused on three areas: providing greater visibility and flexibility through Delta’s evolving NDC strategy, helping business travel partners stay ahead of disruptions with new proactive servicing capabilities, and introducing the new Delta Business site experience for agency partners scheduled to launch in 2027.

Among the announcements:

  • Following Delta’s previously announced plans to launch an NDC solution by year-end, Showcase provided the first detailed look at the functionality included in the initial release, the phased road map that follows and how Delta plans to expand capabilities through future quarterly enhancements.
  •  Delta is actively testing with agency partners and evaluating direct-connect models as part of a broader distribution strategy.
  •  Delta’s long-term vision extends beyond NDC to an AI-enabled, intelligent travel ecosystem focused on flexibility, personalization and servicing.
  •  Delta’s initial NDC release will deliver the foundational capabilities needed for US point of sale activation to support future expansion and innovation and provide a solid platform to build on as Delta continues evolving the customer experience.
  • Delta’s Global Sales Solutions (GSS) team is launching a new proactive servicing initiative designed to help customers and agencies stay ahead of travel disruptions. The program includes weekly operational forecasts, targeted operational alerts, expanded traveler-impact visibility and new communication tools intended to provide earlier awareness and greater operational transparency.
  • Delta provided an early look at the new agency-focused site scheduled for 2027. The platform is being designed to give agency partners greater self-service capabilities, enhanced user and permission management, disruption management tools, operational visibility and new ways to interact with Delta through a single interface.
  • As Delta looks beyond the launch of its first NDC solution, the airline is exploring how emerging technologies, including Agentic AI, can help reshape the travel landscape.
