Blacklane, a global chauffeur service, has launched a partnership with Clear, the secure identity company, to provide travelers with a premium VIP layer of the home-to-gate airport journey. The collaboration was unveiled at the 2026 South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin during a panel hosted by Blacklane that focused on how the luxury industry is redefining its purpose in the age of AI.

According to the announcement, the partnership will offer travelers a premium VIP airport experience from airport transfer booking to gate.

Kasra Moshkani, CEO Americas, Blacklane, said, “In an AI-driven world, the role of luxury isn’t to replace the human touch, it’s to elevate it.”  At Blacklane, he said, “technology removes friction from travel so our guests can focus on what matters most.”

Together with Clear, said Moshkani, “we’re extending personalized service to the very start of the airport journey.” With a professional chauffeur guiding travelers from pickup to drop-off and Clear’s concierge services ensuring a smooth transition through security and the terminal, he said, “every step is effortless.”

Juliana Ortego, head of new ventures & growth at Clear, said the partnership “is a natural extension of Clear’s mission to create seamless, secure experiences across the entire travel journey.” With Blacklane’s global chauffeur service, she said, “we’re helping travelers move from home to gate with greater speed and convenience.”

The initiative will roll out in April to select Blacklane guests and Clear+ members with expansion expected later this year.
