BCD Launches New Analytics Platform

Tripsource Insights unifies data across TMC’s systems and suppliers

BCD Travel announced an AI- and NLP-powered analytics platform that gives corporate travel and finance managers a unified, real-time view of their entire program. Tripsource Insights, a core capability of the TMC’s Tripsource platform, unifies data across BCD systems and suppliers into one intuitive interface, according to the announcement.

Dynamic, at-a-glance visualizations and NLP queries, said the announcement, replace traditional reports and manual analyses, making it fast and easy for stakeholders to stay ahead, optimize spend, and lead a smarter, more connected travel program.

In a travel buyer survey conducted by BCD’s Research and Intelligence team, according to the announcement, buyers named collaboration with TMCs and suppliers on their data and improved data quality as their top two priorities, and cited lack of time as the primary reason for their limited engagement with program data.

What sets Tripsource Insights apart, said the announcement, begins with its data. As a global travel management company, BCD has direct, source-level access to clients’ data through its own systems and APIs. Tripsource Insights, said the announcement, makes that data accessible through an AI Analyst built on “one of the richest datasets in the industry” — and it’s designed for daily program management, not just analysis of the past.

Yannis Karmis, executive vice president of product planning and development, said, “The depth and accuracy of BCD’s data is what makes the intelligence in this platform genuinely unique.” That advantage, he said, “is built into every query, visualization and insight that guides our clients’ decision-making with data they trust.”

BCD will preview Tripsource Insights at the GBTA Convention in Chicago on Aug. 3-5.
