Carrier will also increase San Diego service
Southwest Airlines will begin serving Knoxville, Tenn. on March 5, 2026 with five daily roundtrips to and from the city. The carrier also announced added routes from San Diego’s newly “reimagined” Terminal 1.
In Knoxville, there will be twice daily service to Nashville as well as daily roundtrip flights to Baltimore, Dallas and Orlando.
At the “new” Terminal 1 in San Deigo, set to open next month, daily year-round service is set to begin March 5 to Eugene, Ore., Maui; Portland, Ore.; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Seattle.
Also beginning March 5, Southwest is introducing twice-daily service on three routes: Chicago (Midway) and Milwaukee; Phoenix and Tucson; and Little Rock and Nashville.
Additionally, twice-daily service between Chicago (Midway) and Des Moines, Iowa; Tulsa, Okla. and Wichita, Kansas, is set to return March 5, 2026, along with twice-daily roundtrips between Dallas and Oklahoma City.
