Appointments and promotions at BCD Travel, New York City Tourism + Conventions, and Viceroy Hotels and Residences

BCD Travel announced that Marcus Eklund, former global managing director of FCM, will become its global chief commercial officer. He has been with FCM for about a decade and previously was an executive at Amadeus for about the same duration.

New York City Tourism + Conventions announced the appointment of Fred Dixon as president and CEO. He will assume the role on Dec 1. Dixon returns to the agency following more than two years as president and CEO of Brand USA, the nation’s destination marketing organization. He previously served as president and CEO of NYC Tourism + Conventions from 2014 through 2024.

Board Chairman Charles Flateman will assume oversight of the agency to ensure a smooth transition with staff and business functions, alongside the organization’s executive leadership team until December. 

Viceroy Hotels & Residences has appointed Jaimie Weiss as vice president of growth & digital, leading the company’s digital growth strategy, with a focus on expanding direct business and enhancing the digital guest journey across the portfolio. According to an announcement, she joins Viceroy with more than 15 years of experience driving customer acquisition, loyalty and growth for luxury hospitality, travel and consumer brands. Prior to this appointment, Weiss served as senior director of growth & performance marketing at Proper Hospitality.
