Choice Hotels International has named Aly El-Bassuni as senior vice president of its managed hotels division. In his new role, he “will oversee the strategy, operations and continued momentum of Choice Hotels’ managed hotel properties, focusing on helping maximize performance, enhancing guest experiences and driving long-term, sustainable growth,” the company said in a statement. El-Bassuni formerly served as COO for Radisson Hotel Group Americas, which Choice acquired in 2022. He also previously served as the brand leader and vice president of brand operations for Wyndham’s Microtel Inns & Suites brand, and most recently served as president of operations, owner and brand relations for hotel management firm Aimbridge Hospitality.

Navan, a business travel and expense management platform, has appointed Anré Williams to its board of directors. He most recently served as CEO of American Express National Bank and group president of enterprise services at American Express. Williams, according to an announcement, brings over 35 years of executive leadership experience and a track record of driving innovation in the financial services and business travel industries. Williams is currently senior executive advisor at American Express.
