Appointments and promotions at Uber, Rosewood Hotel Group and Mendel
Uber has appointed Andrew Macdonald as the company’s new president and COO. He was formerly senior vice president of mobility and business operations. Macdonald joined Uber in 2012 and had been in his prior role since 2019. He will be responsible for the company’s global mobility, delivery and autonomous businesses; and key cross-platform functions like membership, customer support, safety and Uber for Business, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Rosewood Hotel Group has named Anthony Ingham as COO, beginning Sept. 1. He brings decades of experience to the role, having held positions at InterContinental, Starwood and Marriott International. Most recently, Ingham was at The Hong Kong Jockey Club. The company also named Luca Finardi as vice president, operations, EMEAC (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Caribbean Atlantic). He has over 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, most recently as general manager of Mandarin Oriental Paris and area vice president for France, Italy and the Czech Republic.
Mendel, a Mexico City-based spend management platform, has appointed Laura Madriñán to lead its travel vertical. She previously was global sales director for Latam Airlines, working with both large corporate clients and large TMCs, with which Mendel aims to partner to further its growth, according to an announcement.
