Corporate Traveler USA, part of the Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG), has named regional general managers for the east, west and central regions of the US. These are new roles at the small and medium-sized business-focused travel management company. The appointments are:
Richard Jacobi, who has led Corporate Traveler’s operations in the Boston area, now oversees the eastern region, based in Boston.
Clinton Voyce, who has worked with Corporate Traveler and other corporate travel brands within FCTG for nearly 20 years, now oversees operations and sales in the central region, based in Chicago
Miling Harpur will begin doing double duty in January as regional general manager and director of sales for the west region, based in southern California. She has worked for the company in Australia for 10 years, most recently as general manager of sales and commercial.
Navan, the travel and expense platform, has named Michael Riegel as CEO EMEA (Europe/Middle East/ Africa). He had been general manager of Navan in the region. Prior to joining Navan, Riegel was the CEO and founder of Comtravo, a travel management company based in Berlin (acquired by Navan group in 2022). Riegel said that Europe makes up roughly half of the Navan group’s customer base.
Encore Corporate Travel, a Montreal-based travel management company, has named former Deem executive Christina Woronchak as its president. She was with Deem for more than three years, most recently as chief revenue officer. Prior to that, Woronchak led sales and account management teams with American Express Global Business Travel.
Hertz has named Justin Keppy its new COO, effective Nov. 15. He will run the day-to-day operations of the global business, the car rental company announced. Keppy will join Hertz from Carrier Corp., where he most recently served as president of North America residential and light commercial HVAC. Previously, Keppy worked at UTC Aerospace Systems, Hamilton Sundstrand, Shawmut Corp., Ford Motor Co., and the U.S. Army.
Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts has promoted Adrian Messerli to president, hotel operations – Europe, Middle East and Africa, a region that includes more than 40, hotels, resorts and residences. He has had a longer career with the company all over the world, most recently as regional vice president and general manager of the Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Madrid.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has appointed Marcel Thoma as general manager of Mandarin Oriental, New York, overseeing the executive management and operations of the hotel. He will also act as area vice president overseeingMandarin Oriental, Boston, Mandarin Oriental, Santiago, Mandarin Oriental Residences, Beverly Hills, Mandarin Oriental Residences, Fifth Avenue, and The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, New York operations. Thoma joined the compamy three years ago and has over 25 years of luxury hospitality industry experience. Most recently, he was the general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech, He has also worked for Ritz-Carlton and Rosewood.
