Bolt, an Estonia-based mobility platform, announced it has added a Flight Tracking feature. When scheduling a ride from the airport, users need to simply link their flight and the app automatically adjusts the pickup time so the Bolt is ready to go on landing — at no additional cost. And if the flight is canceled, the ride is canceled for free.

The latest feature, said the announcement, is designed to provide a reliable, stress-free airport pickup experience, even in the face of airline disruptions.

To deploy Flight Tracking, users enter their flight number while scheduling an airport ride, and the app will automatically set the pickup time based on the flight’s real-time status. This means no last-minute rescheduling, unexpected wait times or extra costs.

Users can also specify how soon they would like to be picked up after landing, factoring in extra time to collect their luggage or go through customs. By default, the delay is set to 20 minutes.

Bolt also announced it has acquired Danish taxi startup company Viggo. The acquisition gives Bolt immediate access to Viggo’s fully electric fleet of over 300 vehicles and a user base of 450,000 people across Copenhagen and Aarhus. The deal also adds more than 500 professional drivers to Bolt’s platform. Founded in 2019, Viggo is known as Scandinavia’s first 100% electric ride-hailing company.
