Hollywood, Fla. — Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort, formerly the Diplomat Beach Resort, has opened following an $80 million “transformation.” The 1,000-room property offers The Verandah, an oceanfront space with pools, outdoor event space and the adults-only Verandah Social Club; Club Signia, offering a private lounge with food and beverage throughout the day; more than 200,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space; and six dining outlets.

California, Maryland — The 95-room Avid Hotel California-Lexington Park has opened. It offers free breakfast, a fitness center, a convenience market and extended stay options for long-term guests.

Surat, India — Le Meridien Surat has opened along the banks of the Tapi River about two miles from the airport. The 185-room property offers a restaurant and 100,000 square feet of event space.

Chongqing, China — Fairfield by Marriott Chongqing Nan’an District has opened near the Chongqing International Convention & Exhibition Center. It is the 100th location for the brand in Greater China. The 182-room property offers meeting rooms, a 24-hour fitness center and self-service laundry.
