Etraveli Group, a Sweden-based global flight technology provider, has acquired Wenrix, a predictive and agentic AI platform that partners with over 60 of the world’s largest OTAs and TMCs, specializing in AI-driven solutions for price, flexibility and post-booking servicing.

The acquisition, according to an announcement, marks a strategic step in Etraveli Group’s long-term ambition to further strengthen and extend its B2B platform for selling flights, and to make more of its capabilities available to the broader travel ecosystem. Following the acquisition, Wenrix will continue to operate as a fully independent company within Etraveli Group.

Etraveli Group provides a tech platform for selling flights, connecting millions of flights and travelers across the globe. As complexity and volatility continue to increase across the air travel market, said the announcement, the company’s strategy is to invest in highly competitive and scalable platform-based solutions that benefit partners across the industry, from search and booking to post-booking and servicing.

Wenrix, according to the announcement, serves a global customer base across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. The company has teams based in Tel Aviv, Barcelona, Berlin, New York, London and Hong Kong.

Mathias Hedlund, CEO of Etraveli Group, said his company’s strategy is to continuously strengthen its platform for selling flights and ensure it benefits the wider air travel ecosystem. Wenrix, he said, “is a strong strategic fit with this ambition, and through our existing collaboration we have come to know the team well.”

Amir Balaish, CEO of Wenrix, said the company “was built to address some of the hardest problems in flight selling.” Joining Etraveli Group, he said, “allows us to accelerate the scale of our platform while remaining fully committed to our customers.”
