American Express Global Business Travel has unveiled its new Egencia AI tool. The latest evolution of the configurable all-in-one digital solution includes Agentic AI capabilities and an integration with Concur Expense. The integration plans were announced when Amex GBT and Concur launched Complete, their strategic partnership, last fall.

According to the company, the solution will deliver a unified travel and expense experience, offering an average booking time of under three minutes, and automated expense reconciliation.

Egencia AI is an intelligent conversational travel assistant that helps business travelers ask, book and manage travel in one conversation, combining AI and accuracy within the tools travel managers and their teams already use like Microsoft Teams. It will also boost the ability of travel counselors to serve travelers in a personalized, contextual, and efficient way.

With the integration in Concur Expense, Egencia travel bookings and receipts come into expense reports in near real-time, eliminating the need for manual line-item entries and streamlining end-to-end T&E experience. According to Amex GBT, this is the first non-SAP solution with this level of integration with Concur.

Additionally, the revamped Egencia AI offers an enhanced user experience with more seamless, intuitive navigation, including a simplified search form and multi-fare display per flight.

“Egencia has always been a bold innovator in business travel,” said Evan Konwiser, Amex GBT’s chief product and strategy officer. “We’re accelerating that momentum by reimagining what an intelligent travel platform can be with a new user experience, integrated travel and expense, and conversational AI capabilities.”
