Air New Zealand has released details of its new Business Premier and Economy cabin designs for its Boeing 777-300ER fleet. The carrier’s Business Premier cabin will have 44 new Collins Elevation seats with 43-inch pitch that convert to lie-flat beds. Each will have a door for privacy, with center seats having sliding privacy dividers. All seats will have 18-inch screens with Bluetooth audio connectivity and USB A and C outlets. The number of seats in this cabin remains the same as the current Business Premier cabin.
The Economy cabin will have 246 “ergonomically designed seats from Zim,” with upgraded 13-inch entertainment screens. Economy Stretch seats will have 35-inch pitch, while Standard Economy seats will have 31-inch to 32-inch pitch. All seats will have USB-C connections. The updated cabin will have two more seats than the current configuration.
The Premium Economy cabin will remain as is, though with two fewer seats. The cabin recently went through a refresh program.
The first Boeing 777 is scheduled to be retrofitted in March 2027 and in service by May 2027, according to the carrier.
