Airlines for America has announced that Nicholas E. Calio, president and CEO, will retire at the end of 2025 after a 14-year tenure. Before joining A4A in 2011, Calio served as Citigroup’s executive vice president for global government affairs and was President George W. Bush’s assistant for Legislative Affairs. He also co-founded a law and lobbying firm, O’Brien*Calio.
Upon his retirement, Calio will assist the board in the search for his successor. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby and American Airlines CEO Robert Isom will oversee this search process.

Minor Hotels has named Gonzalo Aguilar chief executive officer at Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, succeeding former CEO Ramón Aragonés, who retired at the end of 2024 and continues to serve as a member of the board of directors and non-executive VP.
Aguilar has over 30 years of hospitality experience, starting as a restaurant manager in Colorado. His most recent senior leadership position was as chief operating officer for Europe at Marriott International.

MMGY Global, an integrated marketing agency specializing in the travel, tourism and hospitality industries, has promoted Justin Farmer to the new role of chief growth officer. Previously, Farmer held the position of executive vice president. A 14-year veteran of the company, Farmer brings with him more than 20 years of experience in integrated marketing and business strategy.
