Radius Travel and Transport has acquired Abacus Travel in Peabody, MA (about 15 miles north of Boston). Abacus also has offices in Plainville and Worcester, MA, and Manchester, NH. Its 100 employees serve 450 U.S. businesses.
The acquisition gives Travel and Transport, which is headquartered in Omaha, NE, a stronger East Coast presence and a brick-and-mortar location to support the company's on-site locations, says CEO Bill Tech. At the completion of the acquisition, Abacus Travel will assume the Travel and Transport name.
