Still, it remains a fact of life that the more a company spends, the better its bargaining position. Even though managers of mid-market travel may be gaining suppliers’ interest, their bargaining power is likely to be more about creativity than fiscal leverage, according to Kevin Maguire and Michael Lyons, president and vice president respectively of the National Business Travel Association.
