China’s business travel market is changing rapidly, but important distinctions remain
Despite the reports of China’s economic slowdown, business activity in the Middle Kingdom continues to boom, albeit with a bit less verve. However, doing business travel here is still, as it always has been, an exercise in recognizing, and appreciating, the differences – in culture, in practice and in outlook.

For the corporate travel program, China offers a grab bag of challenges and opportunities. In some ways, the country continues with traditional practices that would be considered cumbersome in the US or Europe. From other perspectives, the Chinese have proven themselves to be remarkably adaptable.
