Currency conversion was not a big problem, but SignUp4, a provider of event registration and management software-as-service, has added users in Singapore by capitalizing on its training department's flexibility. The trainers generally work inside an 8am-to-7pm EST window to schedule sessions for new users. Training for the Singaporeans, however, takes place between 8pm and 7am EST, according to Danita Harn, vice president of operations.
As the company expands globally, the "odd-hour training" may be extended to other users, she adds. SignUp4 now supports users in 20 countries. In additional to Singapore, the US and Canada, it serves meeting planners in France, Germany, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, England, Finland, Switzerland, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria.
SignUp4 has also announced that all of its customers have switched to flat-fee pricing across its product line. Since then, all new customers have come on board under the flat-fee pricing model. Older customers who had chosen to stay under the cost-per-registration model, have switched to flat fees as they renewed their contracts.
