Previously, she was vice president and manager of travel services with Goldman, Sachs & Co. Under her leadership, the Goldman travel team implemented a number of industry-leading programs including the first real-time traveler tracking tool, the first airline pre-purchased corporate mileage program and the first end-to-end online corporate car program.
Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Patricia Payne as director of corporate and government accounts. With over 20 years of combined experience in the meetings industry, Payne most recently worked as senior manager of events and travel for FedEx- Kinko's.
Choice Hotels International has named Michael Murphy senior vice president of global sales, with responsibility for the company's worldwide sales and intermediary marketing efforts. Murphy most recently served as senior vice president of sales for Marriott International, where he was responsible for the company's association, government, affinity and small business customer segments.
Egencia has announced that President Jean-Pierre Remy is leaving the company to take a CEO position at a European corporation. Rob Greyber, will assume the position of president, moving up from senior vice president for Egencia North America, one of the company's key operating regions. Greyber's previous role will be taken by Pamela Keenan Fritz, vice president of Asia Pacific and global partnerships.
Cambria Suites, a brand within the Choice Hotels portfolio, has added Cindy Murphy to its staff in the role of director of hotel performance support. She succeeds Michael Miller. In her new role, Murphy will work directly with hotel owners and management to support and enhance the local sales, revenue management, service and overall operations of the hotels. Her previous positions were with InterContinental Hotels as vice president of operations for its Hotel Indigo brand and as director of brand management and vice president of operations for Holiday Inn.
Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) has appointed Lyn McBain and Jeshly Sierra to its sales team. McBain will be global director of sales and marketing, based in London, with overall responsibility for GHO's global expansion strategy. Her past experience includes more than two years as group director of sales for City Inn Group and six years at Intercontinental Hotels Group. Sierra will be director of sales, primarily focusing on corporate and leisure sales. Before joining GHO, Sierra served as global sales director UK & Europe at Morgans Hotel Group.
Starwood Hotel & Resorts Worldwide says that Sue Brush, long-time leader of Westin Hotels & Resorts, has announced that she will retire effective December 31. Nancy London, currently vice president of marketing for the Westin global brand team, will succeed Brush as global brand leader, holding the corporate title of vice president. As Westin's senior vice president and global brand leader, Brush has been responsible for the standards, marketing and strategic direction of the brand.
Travelport GDS has named Patrick Lukan as its new vice president, global e-commerce business, responsible for building the company's e-commerce business in the Americas as well as managing its largest e-commerce customers on a global basis. Lukan, who previously headed up Travelport GDS's UK & Ireland operation, has been with the company serving as the general manager of that region since 2005. Jerome Moisan will follow Lukan as the new general manager for the UK & Ireland. He previously headed up Travelport GDS's French operation, and has been with the company for seven years.
